Bophut School Auditorium

Dhevatara has tried to minimize our impact on the local population and environment, by including and consulting with them at all stages. It is also our policy to always give back to the communities we work and live in. So far in Koh Samui, we have built a library at the local Temple for the community in Lipa Noi and a sports hall / auditorium that can utilised by all the community in Bophut at the local school. Please see below an extract from a local Samui Thai Newspaper.

Went to a school fair at Tiparaj Pittaya School, where we met the School Headmaster “Mr. Banjong Phuwasethaworn”. He kindly informed me about the new enormous school building worth about 5.5 million baht. Mr. Banjong said the construction funds were from a British businessman from Dhevatara; a real estate development company in Koh Samui. The company paid for the construction and administered the construction as well.

We found that “Mr. Stephen Owen” is the owner’s representative of the company. Dhevatara also plans to develop real estate in Dubai, Seychelles and Europe. However, feeling that Koh Samui is where Dhevatara started and has succeeded in doing business, the company would like to give back to the community in every possible way. This is why the new school building was constructed.

“Mr. Stephen” also mentioned that apart from the school building at Tiparaj, his company also funded a library construction, completely equipped in one of the temples in Lipa Noi. Please give a big applause for such dedication to our Koh Samui.
